A utility to create ICON resources from the ICN# resources which the Finder displays on the desktop.
This is extremely useful for those of us who use HyperCard instead of the Finder to launch applications. HyperCard allows one to attach an ICON to any button. When it comes time to get an ICON to attach to a button which launches an application, the application file itself has an ICN# resource. It's pretty obvious that this is just not good enough.
ICN#->ICON will convert the one ya got to the one ya want! If you prefer the way the icon looks when it's selected, ya can get that, too!
REMEMBER, THIS PRODUCT IS SHAREWARE!!! If you use ICN#->ICON (for more than a reasonable trial period, i.e. 15 days) and find it useful, please send $5.00 to:

If there is a demand (and $ome inĀ¢entive), I will consider adding features to ICN#->ICON. Probably the highest priority right now is to expand it into an ICON mover, similar to Font/DA Mover from Appleā¢ Computer. As of now, the program will create files with ICONs in them, but these aren't good for too much unless you like to fool around with ResEdit to install them somewhere else.
